An elegant collection celebrating Cuban history and tradition

Cuervo y Sobrinos was founded in Havana, Cuba, in 1882 by Ramón Fernández Cuervo and his nephews.
This notable entrepreneur and group of highly skilled goldsmiths were also brave immigrants from Asturias in northwestern Spain, who sailed for the Americas in search of a new and better life. "Historias" is a classic collection that celebrates the Cuervo family's origins, as well as Cuba's history and traditions.
The "Historias Asturias," newly added to this collection, is based on a signature Cuervo y Sobrinos Art Deco round model from the 1940s, boldly and elegantly incorporating its aesthetic. The combination of a refined round case and unique lugs, which mix teardrop shapes with cat's feet, conveys the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere of the era.
The lugs, which gently curve to follow the wrist's contour, offer not only excellent design but also comfortable wear. The 40mm stainless steel case is meticulously polished, accentuating the contours of the beautifully curved round case.
The dial is available in four smoky colors: blue, green, red, and tobacco, with a mysterious, smoky finish that deepens towards the outer edge. The hour and minute hands are in the 'losange' style, meaning diamond shape in French, harmonizing elegantly with the baton-style applied indices. The date display at 6 o'clock uses a black disc with white numerals, considering the overall dial aesthetic. An applied brand emblem adorns the 12 o'clock position.
This model is powered by the Swiss automatic movement CYS 5104, based on the Peseux 224. The winding rotor is adorned with the brand emblem and decorated with Côtes de Genève. The intricate movement and its decoration can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.
