Longines has unveiled the new "Longines Heritage Military 1938," inspired by military watches produced during the interwar period. To honor the original model's year of creation, it will be released in a limited edition of 1938 pieces worldwide.

The "Longines Heritage Military 1938" is a new timepiece born from a reinterpretation of a military watch manufactured in 1938, delving into Longines' rich history of watchmaking. This timepiece, with its 43mm case reminiscent of the pocket watches common in the 1930s and its understated design, captivates with details that evoke the original model, such as the sloped bezel and onion-shaped crown.

Beneath the domed sapphire crystal, baton-shaped hands offer excellent legibility alongside a matte black dial. Furthermore, eleven cream-colored Arabic numerals coated with Super-LumiNova® are arranged around the dial, ensuring the legibility essential for a military watch through their contrast.

This elegant dial, combined with a small seconds subdial and a railway track, creates a uniquely classical ambiance. The "Longines Heritage Military 1938" comes with a charcoal grey leather strap, and a cognac-colored NATO-style leather strap is also included. A dedicated tool is provided for easy strap changes.
