Its theme is "Fractal Geometry." Fractals are geometric figures that can be infinitely divided into smaller parts, with each part exhibiting self-similarity to the whole. This has been a significant design theme for Newson himself for over two decades.

"I wanted to propose something different from what Boucheron had," Newson explains, layering natural phenomena with jewelry, a product of nature itself. This exquisite necklace is named "Julia," inspired by the fractal "Julia set" that served as its source of inspiration.

The Artisans' Craftsmanship, Bringing a Designer's Dream to Life

The high jewelry piece "Julia," adorned with approximately 2,000 pavé-set gemstones, is a testament to this vision. Boucheron's artisans dedicated over 1,500 hours to crafting this necklace, translating the designer's concept into a tangible masterpiece. With minimal use of metal, the necklace drapes elegantly, as if the fractal itself is floating in mid-air.

Upon seeing the necklace, with its beautiful gradation of sapphires and diamonds, Marc Newson reportedly remarked, "What surprised me most was that this necklace is literally the three-dimensional realization of my initial proposal. In fact, it surpasses my original concept by far."

Julia: A collaborative jewelry piece with Marc Newson. This voluminous design, set with diamonds and sapphires, faithfully reproduces the precise mathematical positioning that is a key element of fractals. Diamonds (0.84ct-2.50ct) are set at the center of the sapphire swirls.

Boucheron has a history of creating pioneering works, including the Richard Mille collaboration watch. These achievements are underpinned by a solid technical expertise that brings designs and concepts to fruition.
