Carbon Crafted Using the Same Methods as Racing Cars

In 2012, Hublot independently developed "Magic Gold," a material with remarkable hardness despite being made of gold. It was first used in a Ferrari collaboration model, astonishing the watch industry. Now, in its second year, three new collaborative models have been announced. Among them, the "Big Bang Ferrari Red Magic Carbon" is the most talked-about.



The carbon fiber case, which achieves both lightness and strength difficult with metal materials, is designed, developed, and manufactured in-house. It uses the same material as a racing car's monocoque body, involving layering multiple sheets of carbon fiber, pressing them, and firing them in an autoclave.



The watch's "engine" ischronographThe movement is the in-house "UNICO," equipped with a proprietary horizontal clutch and silicon escapement, and featuring a flyback function.

The exterior boasts a red sapphire crystal front glass, colored during the material's manufacturing process rather than by surface treatment. It also features an automatic winding rotor designed to resemble Ferrari's wheel, visible from the case back, among other elements designed to delight Ferrari fans.
