Enabling Calculations for Fuel Consumption, Flight Time, and Density Altitude
Richard Mille has long drawn significant inspiration from the world of aviation. Notably, the "RM039 Tourbillon Aviation E6-B Flyback" announced last year featured an "overly complex" movement with over 1,000 parts. It incorporated a modern interpretation of the "E6-B flight computer," invented in the United States in the 1930s, and its capabilities, such as measuring remaining fuel and airspeed, stunned the world.
The newly announced "RM39-01 Automatic Aviation E6-B" also inherits the philosophy of the "RM039 Tourbillon Aviation E6-B Flyback," featuring the "E6-B flight computer" integrated into its rotating bezel, making it a model for professional pilots.
Housed within a 50mm titanium case is the automatic caliber RMAC2 with twin barrels, utilizing approximately 620 parts and 62 jewels. The "E6-B flight computer" enables calculations for fuel consumption, flight time, and density altitude.
Additionally, it features a variable inertia rotor—a world-first technology allowing adjustment of winding efficiency according to the user's lifestyle—along with a countdown and flybackchronograph, and an annual calendar.
Born for men who fly freely through the skies, the "RM39-01 Automatic Aviation E6-B" is a timepiece that fuses the pinnacle of aviation technology with Richard Mille's unique worldview.
