Beauty: The "Boyfriend Skeleton"
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève celebrates the excellence of the world's finest watches, recognizing outstanding creations and technical achievements in the watchmaking industry. At this prestigious event, Chanel's "Boyfriend Skeleton" was awarded the Ladies' Prize. This marks Chanel's fifth win at the Grand Prix.
The "Boyfriend Skeleton" is a model that equips the "Boyfriend" line, launched in 2015, with the in-house developed "Caliber 3." skeleton movement. Developed over three years, "Caliber 3." features an octagonal 18K beige gold case where circular components are arranged vertically, appearing to float. The design emphasizes the movement's structure with its mirror-polished beige gold chamfers and black bridges. Its appeal lies in its beauty and distinct structure from any angle.
Chanel commented on the award: "We are deeply honored that this award recognizes the 'savoir-faire' that is most essential to Chanel's creative process." The watches nominated for this year's award, along with the winning timepiece, are scheduled to be exhibited on a world tour visiting Seoul, Rome, Geneva, and Dubai.
