A Timepiece of Refined Design and Excellent Legibility

In 2018, marking Mido's centenary, the "Commander Big Date" was introduced to celebrate the values inherent in Mido's DNA.

The Commander series, in production for over 50 years since its debut in 1959, is an icon representing Swiss watchmaking tradition and expertise. This new addition to the Commander collection features a specially developed caliber and a big date complication.

The new model adopts the codes that have given the Commander its legendary status. Its exceptionally clean dial, with a satin finish and sunray pattern, is protected by an elegant round case made of satin-finished stainless steel, while a polished bezel adds a touch of refined flair.

The movement is Mido's Caliber 80, an automatic movement specially developed for the brand's 100th anniversary, offering a power reserve of up to 80 hours in addition to the large date display. Through the transparent case back, one can admire the precise and beautiful mechanics of the automatic movement, including the oscillating weight, Geneva stripes, and Mido logo.

The indices, along with the diamond-cut hour and minute hands, are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, ensuring excellent legibility even in low light conditions.

The silver model exudes a stylish aura. The model with a charcoal dial paired with a bracelet offers a sporty feel. Meanwhile, the two-tone model featuring rose PVD coating on the bracelet adds an elegant touch. Finally, the model with a black dial and a matching black leather strap brings a classic and distinguished presence to the wrist.
