Ingenious Ideas and Free Creativity from a Master Watchmaker

In 2004, Parmigiani Fleurier formed a partnership with the French luxury automobile manufacturer Bugatti, and since then, has created unique timepieces inspired by the essence of Bugatti's supercars.

The resulting "Bugatti Type 390" is a watch brimming with unparalleled ideas, created by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, drawing inspiration from the "Bugatti Chiron." The "Caliber PF390," developed over four years, is housed within the cylindrical structure at the top of the dial, designed to evoke the car's "engine."

The "Caliber PF390" achieves an 80-hour power reserve through its series-connected twin barrels. It features innovative and ingenious ideas, including a worm screw mechanism—a first in watchmaking—to transmit power from the cylindrical structure to the vertically oriented dial.

Furthermore, the astonishing mechanics of the watch's "engine" can be admired through the sapphire crystals on the top and edges of the cylindrical structure. The movement employs a modular construction, allowing it to be removed from the housing for servicing, much like an engine is removed from a supercar.

The case, available in rose gold and white gold, features a design that replicates the fluid curves of the "Bugatti Chiron." The case back is engraved with the words "EDITION LIMITEE 10 MODELES" (Limited Edition of 10 Models).

Future Bugatti watches will be developed based on the "Bugatti Type 390" as a platform. Attention is drawn to these ultra-high-performance timepieces that carry the spirit of Bugatti.
