A Stylish Device That Collaborates with the Era's Edge
The "FES Watch U" display watch, with the concept of "Wear time, your way," is the work of Sony's internal venture, "Fashion Entertainments."
Simply press a button to change the pattern, and use the smartphone app "FES Closet" to incorporate original designs from various creators, or even create your own.
The characteristic feature of the display watch is that it can be "dressed up" to match your mood or fashion for the day.
As part of the limited-time "TOKYO MONOCHROME" campaign, running until the end of March next year to commemorate the release of "FES Watch U," DJ DARUMA has been appointed as the October collaborator, and his designs are now available.
DJ DARUMA, also active as a hip-hop DJ, is a member of "PKCZ(R)" with DJ MAKIDAI and VERBAL, and releases streetwear as the designer for the apparel brand "FULL-BACK."
Additionally, the "FES Closet" smartphone app currently offers collaboration designs with Kunihiko Morinaga, designer for ANREALAGE, illustrator Yu Nagaba, artist Ed Tsuki, and others. All can be downloaded for free.
A special exhibition, "FES Watch U 7 Designers' Salon," will be held at MoMA Design Store Omotesando from October 16 (Monday) to November 15 (Wednesday). Fourteen textures designed by seven emerging Japanese product designers will be
displayed on "FES Watch U" and their designed products will be available in-store.
