A Passion for Cars, A Love for Watches
The "Sporting Collection" embodies Ralph Lauren's vision of sports as a lifestyle in a wristwatch. It boasts a variety of models, featuring details from 1930s and 1950s vintage sports watches, with finishes in subdued stainless steel, rare today, and modern high-tech zirconium ceramic.
This time, the "Automotive Watch" from the "Sporting Collection," announced at SIHH in 2011 and acclaimed for its elegant style reminiscent of classic sports cars, will be available for a limited time at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
This model is inspired by the most rare car in his vintage car collection, a legendary vehicle of which only two are said to exist in the world.Bugatti Type 57SC Coupe AtlanticRalph Lauren drew inspiration from this car's dashboard and its integrated instruments for the design. The watch is meticulously crafted, featuring the "Jones Caliber," a large manual-winding movement specially produced by IWC for Ralph Lauren.
During the exhibition period, three variations will be displayed and sold: two dial variations, one with a leather strap and another with a metal bracelet. Furthermore, purchasers of a Ralph Lauren watch during this period will receive a complimentary copy of the luxurious book "SPEED, STYLE, AND BEAUTY," featuring many of his prized cars.
