A Vintage-Inspired Watch from Ralph Lauren, a Titan of American Traditionalism

Ink-Filled Indices Evoke the Understated Elegance of Vintage Design
Why were the indices so heavily inked? In the 1920s and 30s, when precise printing techniques were not yet established, index numerals were hand-engraved by goldsmiths, and then ink was poured into the recesses. This model faithfully reproduces those design characteristics of the era.

Furthermore, Ralph Lauren was entrusted with the costume design for the 1974 film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby," which was written in 1925. The film vividly depicts the height of the Art Deco period.
The fashion featured in the film, from suits and jackets to accessories, all evoke the 1920s while showcasing impeccable aesthetic sensibility. This era's passion for Ralph Lauren shines through.
The Polo Vintage 67 is a magnificent timepiece that captures the essence of the opulent Art Deco era. Its Arabic numeral indices and case form are distinctive, while the vintage-inspired onion crown adds charm to the compact 40mm case.
With its glossy black lacquer hands ticking away beneath a beautiful sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, this classically styled timepiece feels like a treasured heirloom passed down through generations.
Despite its classical exterior, the watch is powered by the manual-winding mechanical movement Caliber LJP7380, engineered to the highest Swiss standards of precision. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it boasts an impressive 90-hour power reserve.
Through the sapphire crystal case back, one can admire the craftsmanship of the hand-finished Côtes de Genève stripes and the perlage, a circular graining technique.
The interchangeable glossy amber varnished calfskin strap will develop a beautiful patina over time, further enhancing the watch's vintage appeal and completing its aesthetic.
