The Design Motif: "Quilting"

The annual "Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG)" is the most prestigious award in watchmaking, honoring exceptional craftsmanship and recognizing outstanding creativity and technical innovation in haute horlogerie.

Nominated and winning watches from each GPHG category tour through cities like Seoul, Rome, Geneva, and Dubai, where they are exhibited together as the year's finest timepieces.

This year, the Grand Prix in the Jewelry Watch category was awarded to Chanel's jewelry watch, "Les Éternels de Chanel."

The "Les Éternels de Chanel" jewelry watch collection, unveiled annually as a capsule collection, embodies Chanel's exceptional savoir-faire and creativity in fine jewelry.

This year, the theme chosen by Chanel's Creation Studio is "quilting," an iconic house motif. The cuff bracelet, featuring a quilted pattern in 18K white gold, is adorned with diamonds within each square and scattered orange sapphires, reminiscent of bead embroidery.

At its center, a 52.6-carat cushion-cut garnet gleams, concealing a square watch face paved with diamonds beneath it.

Chanel commented, "We are honored to receive this prestigious award, recognizing the savoir-faire that is most cherished in our creative process."
