Patek Philippe has unveiled the exclusive "Calatrava Ref. 6007A," featuring a stainless steel case, to commemorate the completion of its new factory in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva.

An Exclusive Model with a Refined Stainless Steel Case and Broad Bezel

Patek Philippe has released the exclusive "Calatrava Ref. 6007A" in a limited run of 1,000 pieces, crafted from stainless steel, to celebrate the completion of its new factory in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva. It is a tradition for Patek Philippe to issue limited edition timepieces to commemorate significant events; the "Pagoda 5500" and "Minute Repeater 5029," released in 1997 to mark the inauguration of the new manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, are notable examples.

The "Calatrava Ref. 6007A" possesses an instantly recognizable character, defined by its subtly domed, broad bezel. The bezel is made of stainless steel, a material exceptionally rare in Patek Philippe's collections and highly coveted by enthusiasts. The dial presents a dynamic and unparalleled design.

Every element contributes to the vibrant and exciting architecture of the dial: the chemin de fer (rail) minute track with triangular markers, the baton hands reminiscent of the openwork design of the Calatrava Ref. 6006 model (in the current collection since 2017), the self-winding movement (Cal. 324 S C) with a date display at 3 o'clock, and the applied Arabic numerals.

The clear graphic style emphasizes the dial's technical personality. Its distinctive blue-grey tone, finished with delicate rotational satin brushing, creates a visual contrast with the white transferred scale, the white gold applied numerals with luminous coating, and the white-painted hands. At the center of the dial, a "carbon"-style texture plays with light, adding a mysterious element that hints at a futuristic world.

Another distinctive feature is the calfskin strap with white decorative stitching and a pin buckle. The delicate embossed pattern, reminiscent of woven fabric, and the color and texture coordinated with the dial design bring a sense of unity to the timepiece.

The "Calatrava Ref. 6007A" features a 40mm case and a sapphire crystal case back specially engraved with the Calatrava cross and the inscription "New Manufacture 2019." It is sold in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces. The exclusive style of this limited model will undoubtedly serve as an enduring symbol of a new chapter in Patek Philippe's history.
