New Collection Features Numerous Complicated Models
Collection Enriched with Respect for History
This year, Montblanc is launching a new collection called "Heritage Chronométrie." Many of the new models appear in this collection. The overarching theme for these models is the "Southern Hemisphere." Paying tribute to figures like Vasco da Gama, who strove to discover new sea routes during the Age of Discovery, and to the movement maker who worked to improve watch accuracy, Minerva, which he integrated, Montblanc presented numerous models connected to astronomy and travel, leaving a profound impression.

Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères
Vasco da Gama Limited Edition 18
Spectacular World Time Display with Globes
Montblanc has unveiled a model paying tribute to Vasco da Gama, who discovered new sea routes during the Age of Discovery. This is a tourbillon featuring a groundbreaking cylindrical hairspring and a decorative carriage visible at the 12 o'clock position.
However, even this high-level tourbillon might play a supporting role in this particular model. The true stars are the two globes set into the lower part of the watch. These are meticulously and stereoscopically rendered globes of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, which, along with rotating scales printed around their perimeters, display the world time. Furthermore, with a unique smoked glass structure, the night portions of each hemisphere are subtly smoked, showcasing exquisite detail. It is the ultimate model for artistically displaying the time around the world.

Heritage Chronométrie
Exo Tourbillon Minute Chronograph
Fusion of Unique Tourbillon and Chronograph
The Exo Tourbillon is a unique tourbillon invented at the Minerva workshops in Villeret, Switzerland, which Montblanc has integrated. While a conventional tourbillon houses the escapement parts within a rotating carriage, this unique tourbillon employs a special structure where a large balance wheel is positioned above the carriage. This has been fused with a one-push-button chronograph. The tourbillon, designed for long-term accuracy, and the chronograph, where measurement precision is paramount, coexist through a high-level mechanism, creating a model befitting the "Heritage Chronométrie" concept.

Heritage Chronométrie
Quantième Annuel Vasco da Gama Limited Edition 238
Independently Developed and Equipped with an Annual Calendar
This watch features an "annual calendar," which has been increasingly adopted in the watchmaking world in recent years. This mechanism is a practical complication that only requires calendar adjustment once a year, between the end of February and the beginning of March. Montblanc has succeeded in developing and incorporating this mechanism. The calendar displays the month, day of the week, and date using three subdials and hands, creating a highly distinctive dial design. Accurate timekeeping and calendars have been essential for navigation since the Age of Discovery. This model is named after Vasco da Gama, who discovered the sea route to India around the Cape of Good Hope, honoring the achievements of great figures of the past.
