MONTBLANC: An Enduringly Simple Moon Phase
MONTBLANC
Timeless Simple Moon Phase
Montblanc's standout release at the 2014 SIHH was the "Meisterstück Heritage" collection, named after the iconic "Meisterstück" writing instruments.

Thoughtfully Considered, Elegant Design
With two watchmaking ateliers in Villeret and Le Locle, and the capability to develop and manufacture highly complicated timepieces from scratch, Montblanc has made a remarkable leap to become a serious watch brand.
The brand offers a diverse range of products, led by the "Nicolas Rieussec" collection, named after the inventor of the chronograph with an inking recording device. This is complemented by the contemporary "Timewalker," the classic "Star," and the complicated watch collection "Collection Villeret 1858." In 2014, an appealing new collection was added to this lineup.
This is the "Meisterstück Heritage" collection, named after the "Meisterstück" writing instruments. Its aesthetic is more modern than the "Star" but not as contemporary as the "Timewalker," offering a universally appealing style that was previously absent from Montblanc's watch offerings.
While the limited chronograph model with a pulsometer scale, favored by watch enthusiasts, and the perpetual calendar model, offered at an astonishing price, are undoubtedly recommended, for OPENERS readers, we suggest the simple two-hand model featuring date and moon phase displays.
This is a timepiece that shines with its understated yet meticulously designed, elegant aesthetic.
