A Robust, Sporty Design with a Special Feel

The "Lion Crest" first appeared on the case back with the debut of the first Grand Seiko in 1960. The lion, long a symbol of power and dignity as the king of beasts, was imbued with the aspiration to create the world's finest watch. This crest remains a mark of Grand Seiko, engraved on its products to this day. This spirit has been elevated into a design concept for three new "Sports Collection Spring Drive 20th Anniversary Limited Models," each equipped with the unique Spring Drive movement.

The massive case, embodying the fierce power and dignity of the lion, features a wide contact surface with the wrist and a low center of gravity, providing a secure fit that feels as if the lion's forelegs are gripping the arm. The lugs, likened to a lion's claws, boast distortion-free flat surfaces achieved through Zaratsu polishing, with hairline finishes accentuating their robust silhouette. The dial features an organic, stamped pattern representing a "lion's mane."



Within this collection, unified by a single design philosophy, are three limited-edition models. They feature the Spring Drive Caliber 9R96 (chronograph GMT) and 9R15 (3-hand) movements, boasting exceptional accuracy of ±10 seconds per month, housed in 18K pink gold and Bright Titanium cases. The three-dimensional, large hands and indices ensure high legibility not only during the day but also at night, thanks to the Lumibrite coating. In addition to a robust water resistance of 20 atmospheres, befitting the sturdy case design, the rotor visible through the see-through case back is adorned with an 18K gold lion emblem, signifying the presence of a specially adjusted movement. True to the brand's philosophy, this collection pursues high practicality and embodies a sporty design that only Grand Seiko can achieve.
