Unique & Elegant Watches Unveiled Again This Year!

Dior Watches are not just about visual design; they pursue originality in their mechanisms, earning respect from watch professionals within the fashion world. The biggest topic among this year's new releases is the debut of the "Dior VIII," the first ceramic case and bracelet model, common to both men's and women's lines.

First Ceramic Case & Bracelet Model Appears

Naturally, the color is black, the brand's theme color. The ceramic of the bracelet features a pyramid-shaped cut, creating complex reflections depending on how light hits it. This is reminiscent of the cannage pattern found on iconic bags like the Lady Dior. Some models are equipped with automatic movements, and the see-through case back reveals a colored rotor, showcasing attention to detail. Furthermore, for those desiring more elegant and luxurious models, there are limited editions with colored stones set on the bezel, and the "Grand Bal" models featuring a rotor on the dial adorned with diamonds and mother-of-pearl, with four variations available, each limited to 88 pieces.

A Rotor Dances on the Dial: Focus on Unique Models!

However, for our male readers of OPENERS, the first new release we'd like to recommend from this year's collection is one from the "Chiffre Rouge" men's watch line, born from the aesthetic of "Dior Homme." This is the "Chiffre Rouge M01 39mm," powered by the new "Dior Inversé" movement, a collaboration between the company and movement specialist Manufacture Soprod.

As the French name of the movement, "Inversé" (upside down), suggests, the characteristic of this model is that the automatic winding rotor is located on the dial, unlike usual. The rotor, made of white gold for its noble luster and excellent winding efficiency due to its high specific gravity, features a tachymeter with a red accent, mirroring the series name. It is further engraved with scales and numbers like a gauge, presenting a different face with every movement of the owner's wrist. This is a special wristwatch for adults who enjoy mechanical artistry.

A Dynamic and Chic Watch with a Machine-Like Feel

The automatic rotor, covering half of the chic black lacquer dial, moves dynamically, allowing you to fully enjoy the active expression of this "rotating precision machine" in a stylish way. It's a sports watch that caters to the playful spirit of adults. It comes standard with a sporty and lightweight perforated leather strap, and a dressy stainless steel bracelet that can be worn even in hot summer weather, allowing you to switch them according to the season or your mood.

Automatic winding, 39mm diameter stainless steel case & bracelet, perforated calfskin strap, see-through back, 50m water resistance, limited to 200 pieces worldwide, 976,500 yen. Scheduled for release in November.
