Matsuya Ginza Establishes "ENEY," a Sustainable Jewelry Brand Featuring Lab-Grown Diamonds.
On August 27, 2021, Matsuya Co., Ltd. will launch ENEY, a jewelry brand featuring lab-grown diamonds—sustainable stones created in laboratories rather than mined.
Lab-grown diamonds are synthetic diamonds that are identical to natural diamonds in their raw materials, optical and physical properties, chemical composition, and crystal structure; the only difference lies in their origin.
Lab-grown diamonds are priced at roughly half that of natural diamonds. Because they can be supplied stably, they offer the opportunity to enjoy the same quality as natural diamonds at a more accessible price point for everyday wear.
Although lab-grown diamonds are manufactured artificially, they do not all share the same shape, size, or color. ENEY selects diamonds of G color or higher and VVS-VS clarity, carefully choosing only the finest quality and color.
Furthermore, as lab-grown diamonds do not require mining, they are gentle on both the environment and society, making them a sustainable choice for people and the planet.

This series uses half-moon cut diamonds to evoke the universal and mystical phases of the moon. From full moon to half moon, it embodies the natural cycle. The luxury of cutting large diamonds into a half-moon shape is offered at a price only possible with lab-grown stones.
