Traveloka points can now be exchanged for Ponta points
Traveloka, an all-in-one travel platform where you can book hotels, flights, activities, airport transfers, and rental cars in one place, launched a service on August 27, 2025, allowing its proprietary "Traveloka Points" to be exchanged for "Ponta Points."
Traveloka Points are awarded at a rate of 1% based on the booking amount for hotels and activities, and can also be accumulated daily by completing in-app daily missions. These points can be requested for exchange in units of 100 points, starting from 200 points or more. The exchange process is completed at the beginning of the month following the request, and the points are generally added as Ponta Points by the end of the following month. To be eligible, the request must be made within the app while logged in.
Ponta Points can be used at approximately 320,000 partner stores and services nationwide. Through this exchange, points can now be utilized not only for travel but also for everyday shopping and services.
Details on how to exchange points and information about the service can be found on the dedicated page below.

Six Autumn Travel Tips for Fall Foliage and Year-End Trips
To coincide with this announcement, "Six Travel Tips" for the autumn travel season have also been released. These tips focus on enhancing the quality of your trip while efficiently accumulating points.
1. Plan your route strategically.
Autumn offers stable weather and is the peak season for many tourist destinations. Organizing your desired areas on a map and creating an efficient itinerary can reduce travel time and waste.
2. Check weather and local events in advance.
Whether traveling domestically or internationally, it's advisable to check local weather and event information beforehand. The season for autumn foliage and festivals can be crowded, and comfort levels can vary significantly depending on timing.
3. Book flights smartly.
Traveloka allows flight bookings up to 30 minutes before departure in some cases and supports online check-in. This offers flexibility for trips where plans may change until the last minute (confirmation required as it varies by airline).
4. Book accommodations early for peace of mind.
Booking early is essential to secure your preferred hotel. This makes it easier to find accommodation that meets your needs, even during peak seasons.
5. Utilize rental cars for transportation.
When unsure about local transportation, renting a car is a practical option. With a wide variety of vehicles, flexible rental periods, and various promotions available, it enhances your travel freedom.
6. Don't forget to check necessary documents.
For international travel, ensure your passport has at least six months of validity remaining and check if a visa is required. For domestic travel, carrying identification is also essential.
