From April 15th, for three days only, we will host "Foot Sole TRYOUT supported by ZAMST."

Nippon Sigmax, which develops the sports support and care product brand "ZAMST," will host "Foot Sole TRYOUT supported by ZAMST" for three days only, from April 15th to 17th, 2022, at Futako Tamagawa Rise Galleria.

Nippon Sigmax conducted the "Nippon Foot Sole Awareness Survey" on the theme of "Foot Sole Training and Insole Adoption Status" for general sports enthusiasts and top domestic athletes (*1). The results showed that while over half of athletes (56.3%) practice "foot sole training," believed to improve performance, only about 10% of the general public (17.2%) do. Furthermore, approximately 90% of athletes (89.3%) who adopted functional insoles reported improved performance.

Therefore, this event was planned with the desire to share and let the general public experience the benefits of "foot sole importance" and "functional insole adoption" that athletes are realizing. The "Foot Sole TRYOUT supported by ZAMST" event, with the theme "The next step changes with foot sole muscle supporters," has been decided.

This event, where you can actually experience insoles, will feature three content areas. The time trial event "Foot Sole Decathlon" allows participants to experience the functions of insoles through a total of 10 types of sports. Next, the "Foot Sole Sports Park" allows you to experience actual sports like tennis and golf in a game format. Additionally, a giant foot and insole monument, approximately 3 meters long, called "Giant 'Foot' Kun," will be available for photos.

Through "Foot Sole TRYOUT supported by ZAMST," Nippon Sigmax hopes that everyone involved in sports can experience that "foot soles" and "insoles" lead to "improved stability and agility" in performance.

[Nippon Foot Sole Awareness Survey]
An internet survey titled "Nippon Foot Sole Awareness Survey" was conducted on 600 general men and women aged 10-60 nationwide who engage in sports (*2), and 32 top domestic athletes, to investigate the status of foot sole training (*3) and insole adoption. The results revealed that compared to general sports participants, athletes tend to engage more in "foot sole training" and utilize "functional (*4) insoles" to improve performance.

(*2) The survey targeted individuals who regularly participate in at least one of the following sports: running/jogging, golf, tennis, soccer/futsal, volleyball, or basketball.
(*3) Foot sole training refers to training that acts on the muscle function and nervous system of the foot soles, which are the contact points with the ground. (Examples: calf raises, towel curls, single-leg stands, toe spreading exercises, etc.)
(*4) Functional insoles refer to insoles equipped with features such as a good fit with the foot, shock absorption upon impact, and correction of foot alignment.
