Andrew Weatherall, a titan of the UK music scene, releases a stunning new work.
Andrew Weatherall, a titan of the UK music scene and an eternal rude boy, has released "Qualia," a stunning new work that showcases his true essence.
Andrew Weatherall is a pivotal figure in the UK music scene, known for his work under the names The Sabres of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen (Warp Records), his production of Primal Scream's 1991 hit album "Screamadelica," and his remixes for artists such as Björk, New Order, Happy Mondays, My Bloody Valentine, Bananarama, and Saint Etienne.
Throughout his 30-year career, he has consistently led the dance music scene across various styles including electronica, techno, dub, electro-punk, and rock, while continuously practicing the crossover between rock and dance music.
For this release, his close collaborator Nina Walsh, who also contributed to the previous album "Convenanza," handled the mixing and engineering.
Furthermore, the late French musician Eric Le Grand is featured as a guest musician.
This is a truly conceptual album, inspired by the imagery, feelings, and thoughts drawn from Patrick Modiano's book "The Black Notebook" and David Keenan's "This Is Memorial Device."
This unique world, crafted by Weatherall, who has remained at the forefront of every scene throughout his 30-year career, is something only he could create.
Why not experience it for yourself?
