A hint of a new culture. Ping-pong, people, and the city converge at "ping-pong ba" in Otsuka, Tokyo.

Yamaguchi Real Estate, as part of its architectural brand "ba" series, has opened "ping-pong ba" in the basement space of "ba01," the OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka by Hoshino Resorts. This new spot, realized through a highly experimental and intriguing concept, centers around table tennis. It serves as a community space designed to connect "Otsuka town" with "people," "food," and "fashion" through cultural exchange.

A Community Space for Table Tennis, Drinks, and Dining

Inside "ping-pong ba," five table tennis tables and a DJ space are set up. Guests can enjoy table tennis in an atmosphere enveloped by subdued lighting and pleasant music. Furthermore, with a theme of "gastropub" meets "table tennis," the menu features beers popular in London pubs—the birthplace of pub culture—alongside dishes like Sunday roast and fish and chips. Here, one can savor table tennis, drinks, and food while experiencing a taste of London culture. The appeal of Otsuka, a downtown district, lies in its ability to simultaneously offer gourmet experiences and subcultural styles. The added enjoyment of connecting to "eight days" on the first floor of ba01 or to ba02, "Tokyo Otsuka Noren-gai," located in the north exit of Otsuka Station, after playing table tennis at "ping-pong ba," further enhances the town's charm. For guests staying at "OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka by Hoshino Resorts," this spot is poised to become a casual nightlife destination and a new hub for cultural dissemination.
