Sils Maria, the birthplace of nama chocolate, celebrates 30 years since its invention in 2018. Recommended for Valentine's Day, their sake-infused nama chocolate returns, now featuring premium, region-exclusive sake varieties.

Sils Maria, the birthplace of nama chocolate, celebrates 30 years since its invention in 2018. Their signature nama chocolate, a blend of Belgian chocolates and fresh cream, is characterized by its exquisitely smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Since 2016, they have launched the "NAMA CHOCO×JAPAN" series, a collaboration that pairs nama chocolate with carefully selected ingredients from across Japan. As the brand that pioneered nama chocolate in Japan, Sils Maria continues to showcase the unique appeal of Japanese produce by harmonizing it with their exquisite chocolate creations.

A recommended indulgence from Sils Maria, the originator of nama chocolate, is their sake-infused nama chocolate, a collaboration with renowned sake breweries from across Japan. The "Taketsuru Pure Malt Nama Chocolate" incorporates Nikka Whisky's "Taketsuru Pure Malt," offering a blissful experience for adults with its rich whisky aroma and the signature melt-in-your-mouth texture of nama chocolate. Other highlights include the "Kuheiji Nama Chocolate," a collaboration with Joyo Jozo's "Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo 'Bettei'," which produces innovative sake, and the "Ikkokko Nama Chocolate," featuring a sweet, mellow imo shochu derived from red sweet potatoes, paired with rich milk chocolate for a clean finish. The range of sake collaborations is impressively diverse.

This year, sake nama chocolates with regional exclusivity debut!

This Valentine's season, a new selection of sake nama chocolates, specially sold with regional exclusivity, makes its debut. These include the "Wine Nama Chocolate," a collaboration with Fujino Winery, known for its commitment to unfiltered wines, offering both red and white varieties. Then there's the "Manazuru Chocolate," crafted with "Junmai Ginjo Manazuru," a sake produced by Tanaka Sake Brewery, which adheres to traditional methods since its founding in Miyagi Prefecture, a prominent sake-producing region in Japan. Finally, the "Fukuju Nama Chocolate" uses "Fukuju Junmai Ginjo" from Kobe Shushinkan, a sake also served at Nobel Prize banquets. Each of these chocolates allows you to savor the unique character of the sake, elevated by the sweetness and signature melt of the nama chocolate, creating a novel taste experience.
