PENTAX Film Camera Project with Shiori Iwakura Special Exhibition "It's time for film!" Held
Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd. will hold a special exhibition titled
The "Film Camera Project" under the PENTAX brand, launched at the end of 2022 as a challenge to create new film cameras, has been progressing with the cooperation of many people since its announcement.
This exhibition will feature a photo exhibition by Shiori Iwakura, who resonates with the "Film Camera Project," a display of back issues of the magazine "BARFOUT!" that explores various artists, and a selection of past PENTAX film cameras, prototypes, and now-rare original blueprints from the era of these film cameras.
In Shiori Iwakura's photo exhibition, with the full cooperation of Ilford Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese general agent for the film brand "Ilford" beloved by enthusiasts worldwide, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs, she will present newly shot works using monochrome film, a first for her, alongside works shot on color film.

Shiori Iwakura
A photographer based in Kagawa Prefecture. She cherishes the changing seasons and light, primarily shooting with film cameras. She publishes her work on social media, focusing on photographs taken in her home prefecture of Kagawa, and also holds photo exhibitions. She undertakes work for CD jackets, book covers, and advertisements. In March 2019, she published her first photobook, "Sayonara wa Aoiro" (KADOKAWA).
