The fourth artist announcement for "RockCorps supported by JT 2017" is "androp"! The event will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at Makuhari Messe. The band, lauded for their music videos and live performances, has been making waves in the rock scene with their grand, evocative world-building and exceptional musicianship.
With this announcement, all artists have been revealed.
The lineup features Fifth Harmony, the century's biggest girl group captivating teens worldwide; miwa, a singer-songwriter with broad fan appeal; SPYAIR, a four-piece rock band electrifying rock fans not only in Japan but across Asia; and androp.
"RockCorps" is a novel approach to social contribution, utilizing the power of music to connect corporations, local communities, and people, proposing a way to engage in social good that is both enjoyable and accessible.
Launched in the United States in 2005, "RockCorps" has since seen over 170,000 participants across 10 countries, generating more than 700,000 hours of volunteer work.
The program operates on a simple principle: participants can attend the "Celebration" music event after completing four hours of volunteer work. Past events have featured globally renowned artists such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Maroon 5.
"RockCorps" aims to make social contribution a part of everyday life for young people, akin to sports, music, fashion, or gaming, thereby making volunteerism more familiar.
