Shuya Okino's Jazz Set: A Rare Monthly Event

GINZA MUSIC BAR is "the only bar in Ginza, Tokyo, that offers a truly authentic music listening experience."

Here, you can savor carefully selected cocktails alongside over 3,000 analog records—spanning timeless classics from Rock, Jazz, Soul, Disco, and New Wave to Indie Rock, Hip Hop, Techno, Minimal, and film scores—all played on a superior sound system featuring Tannoy speakers.

The regular event "MISSION," launched at the bar, is organized by Shuya Okino. It draws on the jazz grooves he has cultivated over his 25-year DJ career, featuring not only danceable jazz but also more contemplative, traditional jazz selections.

As Okino himself puts it, "Beginners are most welcome. Feel free to immerse yourself in listening and drinking, use it as background music to woo someone, or perhaps, while listening to danceable jazz from a counter or sofa, let the desire to move play within your body..." It promises to be an event with broad appeal, welcoming everyone from jazz novices to seasoned connoisseurs.

And on January 26th, the fourth Thursday of the month, "KING OF HOUSE" DJ EMMA, alongside PUNKADELIX—an artist active as an art director and graphic designer, as well as a prolific DJ—will appear at Ginza Music Bar!
