Addressing the issues of the female body and mind. "The Science of the Breast" published.

The Breast Culture Research Group will publish “The Science of the Breast: Addressing the Issues of the Female Body and Mind” on Tuesday, June 20th. This book compiles essays from the natural sciences, drawn from over 20 years of lectures.

This is the second book published by the group, following "A Cultural Study of the Breast" (Tankosha, 2014).

It contains 16 essays and 3 columns related to the breast.

The breast, commonly known by various names such as "oppai," "ochichi," "bust," or "mune" depending on the context, is a subject of deep academic inquiry.

The study of the breast is profound, and discussions and research surrounding it offer crucial perspectives not only for understanding humans from medical and physiological viewpoints but also for contemplating the issues of the female body and mind.

Furthermore, to commemorate the book's publication, a research event sponsored by lingerie manufacturer Wacoal will be held on Saturday, June 24th, at Wacoal Study Hall Kyoto.

The event will feature a presentation on the history of the Breast Culture Research Group, two commemorative lectures, and a special performance themed "The Beauty of the Breast and Movement."
