Nihon Olive Co., Ltd. (Location: Ushimado-cho, Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture; President: Kyoichiro Hattori), which cultivates olives and manufactures and sells olive trees, food products, and cosmetics, released "Extra Virgin Olive Oil Ushimado" on December 21, 2017, using olives harvested from its Ushimado Olive Garden in October-December 2017.
This is a purely domestic, table-ready olive oil, carefully hand-picked from varieties such as Lucca, Mission, Manzanillo, Nevadillo Blanco, and Arbequina cultivated at the Ushimado Olive Garden between October and December, and pressed within 24 hours. The 2017 harvest was unaffected by major typhoon damage and benefited from favorable weather, resulting in a bountiful crop.

A refreshing aroma reminiscent of crisp summer grass and green apples, with a light, pleasant peppery sensation as it goes down.
