Savor the Cuisine of Historic Ryotei Inn "Hamokogetsu" at the Newly Opened Luxury Resort Hotel "Regina Resort Biwako Nagahama," Welcoming Canine Companions

Regina Resort Biwako Nagahama, the seventh facility in the Regina Resort chain and the first in the West Japan area, will open on June 1, 2018. It is a luxury resort hotel that welcomes canine companions.

Located near the city center of Nagahama, known as a historic town founded by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, within the popular Kōhoku area famed for its hot springs and views of Lake Biwa at sunset, Regina Resort Biwako Nagahama offers resort accommodations with all rooms boasting views of Lake Biwa.

In partnership with Hamokogetsu, a long-established ryotei inn founded during the Meiji era, guests can enjoy meals featuring local and seasonal ingredients, carefully selected by Hamokogetsu, renowned for its Japanese kaiseki cuisine. These meals are served in-room, offering the comfort and security that Regina Resort is known for, allowing guests to stay with their beloved dogs.

Guests can also use the open-air hot spring public baths at Hamokogetsu, which is adjacent and connected by a covered walkway.

All 15 guest rooms face Lake Biwa, and are laid out to maximize the enjoyment of the lake views, which change their appearance with the seasons and time of day.

Each room is equipped with an open-air hot spring bath (semi-open-air on the first floor only), allowing guests to enjoy the scenery through the windows.

The lake view can be enjoyed even while soaking in the distinctive, gourd-shaped Shigaraki ware ceramic bathtubs, a specialty of Shiga Prefecture.

As this is the first Regina Resort to offer in-room dining, hot springs, and a public bath all within a single facility, guests can spend their precious time with their dogs in even greater comfort.

Thoughtful touches, such as flooring and furniture designed to be gentle on dogs, ensure that both guests and their canine companions can relax.

Guests can also enjoy outdoor activities with their dogs, including a shared wood-chip dog run adjacent to the property, and walks in the nearby Yutaka Park, centered around Nagahama Castle Historical Museum, where they can experience the natural beauty of the changing seasons, such as viewing cherry blossoms and autumn leaves.

Why not spend a special time with your beloved dog at Regina Resort Biwako Nagahama?
