Numerous sweets featuring "Mōikko," a strawberry variety from Miyagi Prefecture, are now available! The "Sendai Strawberry Mōikko Fair" is underway.
At Gransta, located within the Tokyo Station ticket gates, and Gransta Marunouchi, on the underground 1st floor outside the ticket gates, until March 25 (Sun), the "Sendai Strawberry Mōikko Fair" is being held.
During the fair, numerous limited-edition sweets exclusive to Gransta, along with other seasonal products, will be available, all featuring "Mōikko," a strawberry variety from Miyagi Prefecture.
"Mōikko" is an original strawberry variety from Miyagi Prefecture, characterized by its balanced sweetness and tartness, and its large, plump fruit.
Its clean sweetness has a charm that makes you want to reach for "just one more."
In Watari Town and Yamato Town, strawberry greenhouses devastated by the tsunami from the Great East Japan Earthquake have resumed production thanks to the efforts of producers and support from volunteers.
This initiative aims to increase awareness and expand distribution through the "Regional Ingredient Support Program."
