BAD BRAINS was formed in Washington D.C. in 1976.

Initially starting as a jazz and fusion band, they were influenced by London punk bands like Sex Pistols and The Damned in 1978. They then renamed themselves BAD BRAINS, taking inspiration from a Ramones song title, and were reborn.

This is BAD BRAINS' first documentary film.

The film delves into the story of this pivotal American hardcore/punk band, which established a unique style that fluidly blended punk and reggae, and continues to exert immense influence on many bands that followed.

The director is Mandy Stein, who also helmed "Too Tough to Die" (2006), a tribute film to Ramones guitarist Johnny Ramone.

Production and editing were handled by Tyler Hubby, known for "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" (2005).

Featuring precious live footage from the 80s provided by Paul Rachman, director of the film "American Hardcore" (2006), the film is packed with 45 BAD BRAINS songs throughout, making it an irresistible treat for fans.

The highly anticipated Japanese domestic DVD will be released in two formats: a limited edition BOX set with a T-shirt and a standard edition.

This work holds a key to understanding the history of American hardcore/punk.
