Apparel brands emerge from "Tomo-mawali," connecting fashion and disaster preparedness.
The "Tomo-mawali" lifestyle lighthouse project, operated by our company, engages in activities such as the free distribution of "Magnesium Lights" powered by clean energy magnesium batteries, aimed at raising disaster preparedness awareness. Recognizing the challenge of improving disaster preparedness among younger generations who will lead society, we operate the e-commerce site "Tomo-mawali online shop" with the desire to foster interest in disaster preparedness through fashion, which resonates strongly with young people.
This spring, aiming to further expand recognition of "Tomo-mawali online shop," we are launching a project that encompasses the entire process from clothing production to sales. Our goal is to make disaster preparedness feel more accessible through "kawaii." For this first installment, we have enlisted actor and sculptor Jin Katagiri, along with Yuumi Shida, Honoka Takeuchi, Haruna Fujimoto, Ito Miyase, and Yuimin, who are immensely popular with younger demographics. Each of them has produced a new brand, resulting in six distinct lines. A total of 24 items, showcasing the unique individuality of each of the six producers, from cool to cute, will be available through a made-to-order production model.

Jin Katagiri Production: LUTD
The brand name "LUTD" is derived from the acronym "Light up the darkness." The designs draw inspiration from the positive and adventurous spirit of "illuminating the darkness" conveyed by this phrase.
— From Jin Katagiri
As this is my first foray into design, I felt a great deal of pressure, but inspired by the image of "Tomo-mawali,"
I designed it with the concept of "wearing the clothes illuminates light" – a "walking power spot." I also believe it has the "handmade feel" that I favor.
