IONPA home DP-111, the top-tier ionic electric toothbrush for home use from IONPA Co., Ltd., has been launched on April 24 (Wednesday). This is the flagship model in the IONPA series, featuring enhanced functionality.
Developed under the supervision of Dr. Yuichi Izumi, a leading authority in periodontal disease research in Japan and Director of the Oral Care & Perio Center at Minami-Soma General Hospital, this toothbrush achieves a 196%※ improvement in plaque removal compared to manual brushing, thanks to the synergy of ionic effects and sonic vibrations. The negative ions generated from the brush tips loosen the bond between teeth and plaque. This allows for effective plaque removal without damaging teeth or gums, even with a gentle vibration frequency of approximately 22,000 strokes per minute, resulting in smooth, clean teeth.
The IONPA home DP-111 is the first in the "KISS YOU® IONPA" series to feature a rechargeable design. In addition to the standard "Clean Mode (Normal Mode)," it now includes three new brushing modes tailored to user needs, such as massage and whitening. The main unit is available in two colors: Pearl White and Navy Blue.
Key Features
■ Clean Mode
This mode vibrates gently (approx. 22,000 strokes per minute) and is ideal for periodontal care, the most crucial aspect of oral hygiene (care between teeth and gums). It cleans plaque effectively, similar to manual brushing.
■ White Plus Mode
This mode uses slightly stronger vibrations than Clean Mode (approx. 26,000 strokes per minute) to polish the tooth surface, targeting stains and discoloration.
■ Gum Care Mode
This mode provides a gentle massage for the gums by momentarily stopping vibration once per second, delivering a comfortable stimulation. The ionic effect also enhances its effectiveness for periodontal care.
■ High Clean Mode
This mode momentarily stops vibration ten times per second, creating a tapping motion that thoroughly removes plaque, even from between teeth.
■ Brushing Timer Function
This function signals brushing progress by stopping once every 30 seconds, resuming, and then stopping twice after two minutes. It helps users gauge the appropriate brushing time for each section of their mouth.
■ Memory Function
When powered on, the toothbrush automatically starts in the mode that was last used.
