Phiten, a sports equipment company, introduces the 'Aero Cradle' mattress, focusing on high-quality sleep.
Did you know that Phiten, a sports equipment brand, also sells mattresses?
The mattress is called 'Aero Cradle'. It's designed with high functionality, including breathability, durability, and cushioning, to support physical and mental relaxation. It's even favored by elite athletes competing in the Olympics.
Its distinctive feature is the pink material. This 'Aqua Gold Fiber' is made from high-quality polyethylene blended with Phiten's proprietary Aqua-Gold Silica technology. The natural, beautiful pink hue is said to be proof of the inclusion of gold. It's a mattress that offers the luxury of sleeping on pure gold.
The polyethylene used in Aqua Gold Fiber boasts excellent resilience, flexibility, and interlocking properties, along with superior elasticity. Furthermore, its all-directional multi-spring structure means it responds to pressure from any angle—not just vertically, but also from the front, back, sides, and diagonally. Both the material and structure provide exceptional cushioning to support the body during sleep.
A convenient feature for a daily-use mattress is that the core material can be washed and disinfected with alcohol. With ample air layers, it dries in just a few hours after washing and offers excellent breathability. This prevents moisture buildup, reducing the risk of dust mites and mold, ensuring peace of mind regarding hygiene.
Most importantly, it's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This product has everything you could ask for in a mattress.
Takumi Saitoh Appears at 'Phiten Sleep Lab' to Learn About Sleep
Takumi Saitoh, known for his work as an actor and film director, is also a user of the Aero Cradle. He values sleep highly, stating that he has a strong desire for it, almost as if half of life is spent sleeping. It was through this connection that he became the CM character for Aero Cradle.
On November 17, 2019 (Sunday), he participated in the 'Phiten Sleep Lab' event, where he learned about sleep alongside Phiten's sleep advisor, Hisayoshi Okouchi, with about 100 fans in attendance.
Saitoh shared his personal sleep routine, which surprisingly includes listening to Rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) when he absolutely cannot fall asleep. Coincidentally, Okouchi shares the same habit. It's important for good sleep to play familiar sounds from childhood or anything that triggers sleep, not just Rakugo.
During the sleep quiz, when asked if 'sleeping to forget unpleasant things' is correct, Saitoh answered 'yes' immediately. However, the correct answer was 'no'. Sleeping makes it easier to remember both good and bad things, so it's not recommended to force sleep when something bad happens. One experiment showed that those who slept immediately after watching a shocking video remembered it more vividly than those who stayed awake.
According to Okouchi, the four principles of good sleep are as follows:
1. Falling asleep within 15 minutes of getting into bed.
2. Sleeping through the night without waking up.
3. Feeling refreshed upon waking up in the morning.
4. Not feeling sleepy during the day.
If even one of these conditions is not met, it may indicate a lack of quality sleep. Continuous poor sleep prevents refreshment and leads to depleting one's own energy. Many Japanese people suffer from 'sleep debt,' where they don't feel rested even after sleeping. It is crucial to have proper knowledge and consciously pursue quality sleep.
