Announcing the 4K camera "DJI Pocket 2" with built-in image stabilization.

On October 20, 2020, we announced the "DJI Pocket 2," a compact, handheld camera with built-in image stabilization and powerful features.

The successor to the highly popular Osmo Pocket, the DJI Pocket 2 boasts a creative design and upgraded performance, allowing users to easily capture stunning footage and craft their own stories.

Equipped with professional-grade features in a lightweight, portable body, the DJI Pocket 2 is a camera ready to shoot right out of your pocket, bag, or pouch. Despite its compact size, it doesn't compromise on functionality, offering smooth, captivating footage thanks to its 3-axis gimbal. It features a 4K camera with a large sensor and wide-angle lens, delivering significantly improved photo and video quality compared to its predecessor.

The newly added zoom function allows for close-up shots of distant subjects without needing to move closer. Its advanced focus system tracks moving subjects faster and more accurately than before. The improved audio system, DJI Matrix Stereo, ensures crisp and clear sound recording. Furthermore, preset shooting modes enable anyone to create compelling visual content with just a few taps.

The DJI Pocket 2 features an advanced modular design, allowing for versatile use by attaching various accessories to the detachable base. Like the Osmo Pocket, it can be used as a standalone camera stabilizer, or by connecting your smartphone to the dedicated smartphone adapter. Additionally, using wireless accessories enables remote camera control, expanding creative possibilities.

As its name suggests, the DJI Pocket 2 fits in your pocket, making it easy to take anywhere. With a maximum operating time of 140 minutes and weighing just 117g, it's effortlessly portable, ready to capture precious moments anytime. Its compact yet powerful design, featuring an enlarged 1/1.7-inch image sensor, enhances image quality. The 20mm (35mm equivalent) focal length and f/1.8 aperture lens capture bright, wide-angle cinematic footage, perfect for any scene, including vlogs.

Standard photos are captured at 16MP, with high-resolution mode offering 64MP. Video recording supports up to 4K/60fps at 100Mbps, capturing every detail with stunning clarity. HDR video is also available, producing vibrant and richly colored footage.

With up to 8x zoom in 64MP mode and 4x lossless zoom in 1080p or 16MP modes, you can capture close-ups of subjects without physically moving closer. The autofocus system utilizes Hybrid AF 2.0, combining phase and contrast detection for swift and precise focusing.

Beyond the significant improvements in image quality, the audio system has been completely rethought, delivering high-fidelity sound. The new DJI Matrix Stereo system comprises four microphones, strategically placed to avoid obstruction by the user's hand holding the DJI Pocket 2, creating an immersive audio experience that transports you back to the moment of recording.

Directional Audio enhances the recording capabilities of these microphones, capturing sound with greater detail. The audio track adjusts its recording direction to match the camera's orientation. Audio Zoom narrows the recording area as the camera zooms in. For unwanted ambient noise, the wind noise reduction feature ensures clear audio even outdoors.

Using the DJI Pocket 2 is intuitive and straightforward. Its improved operability allows for a quick and smooth transition from startup to shooting, ensuring you never miss a special moment. Enhancements in design and user experience include Quick Start for instant activation, Drop Detection to prevent camera damage upon impact, and Pause Recording to temporarily halt recording during operation.
