This autumn, encounter works reflecting culture in a garden filled with the scent of Taiwan. The Taiwanese design festival "Future Hanami: Taiwan House" will be held.

The Taiwanese creative festival "Future Hanami: Taiwan House" will be held from Saturday, October 2, to Sunday, October 17, 2021, at GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi in Marunouchi, Tokyo.
This event expresses the deepened friendship between Japan and Taiwan during the pandemic through the motif of "flowers." By hosting a feast named "Future Hanami" in Japan, the organizers aim to convey a sense of longing for reunion and the spirit of Taiwan's free culture and diverse design.

This exhibition introduces ten symbolic cases of Taiwan's design industry, categorizing the diverse changes brought about in the past decade into three aspects: "integration of resources," "application to society," and "power to adapt to the times." Furthermore, eight of Taiwan's most talked-about creators today will reinterpret the imagery of Taiwanese plants using sustainable and renewable materials, expressing the diversity and synergy of Taiwan's design ecosystem. The venue, designed to evoke a "Taiwanese garden," will welcome visitors with an original scent developed by a Taiwanese tea fragrance brand for Taoyuan International Airport.

During the exhibition, commemorative talk sessions (online) with leading figures from Japan and Taiwan will also be held. Following its Tokyo debut, this event is scheduled to tour to Kyoto. This autumn, encounter works reflecting culture in a garden filled with the scent of Taiwan.
