"LEXUS DESIGN AWARD 2018" Announces New Judges —Architect David Adjaye Joins—
LEXUS announced that renowned architect David Adjaye has joined as a judge for the "LEXUS DESIGN AWARD 2018," an international design competition for creators who will shape the future worldwide.
Adjaye received the McDermott Award from MIT in 2016, recognizing outstanding achievements in the arts, and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2017.
He has also been named one of TIME magazine's "100 Most Influential People," drawing global attention.
His signature work includes the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C., USA*1.
The LEXUS DESIGN AWARD seeks to foster and support emerging creators who generate innovative "DESIGN" and ideas that contribute to a richer society and a better future.
It is an international design competition established in 2013 with the aim of nurturing and supporting promising creators.
Globally acclaimed judges evaluate submitted works, and recipients are offered mentorship from highly respected figures across various fields.
This mentorship program for young creators has garnered significant attention.
Now in its sixth year, the competition's theme is "CO-" (togetherness), and submissions are currently being accepted.

The 12 winning works of the "LEXUS DESIGN AWARD 2018," selected by judges including Adjaye, are scheduled to be exhibited at the LEXUS venue during Milan Design Week 2018*3 in Milan, Italy.
Four of the winning entries will receive direct feedback from the judges and collaborate with world-class creators through mentorship to produce prototypes.
