Toyota Launches Free Smartphone Navigation App 'TC Sumaho Navi'

Toyota has launched a new smartphone navigation app, 'TC Sumaho Navi,' available free of charge.

A Smartphone App Useful in Disasters

Previously, Toyota offered a paid smartphone navigation app called 'T-Connect Smartphone App,' which guided users with traffic information based on big data, known as 'T-Probes Traffic Information.'

Separately, they had made 'Toreta Michi Map' (Passable Road Map) available on their website, which supported disaster relief efforts and could also be viewed on smartphones.

The newly launched 'TC Sumaho Navi' improves upon the visibility and usability of its previous navigation functions, while also constantly featuring 'T-Probes Traffic Information' and 'Toreta Michi Map.'

It not only supports everyday driving with peace of mind and comfort but is also effectively useful during disasters.

Furthermore, 'Toreta Michi Map' can now display aerial photographs of disaster-stricken areas, and in the summer of 2017, a route search function reflecting 'Toreta Michi Map' information will be added.

Additionally, functions for searching and reserving parking spaces, along with navigation to the reserved parking, have been added, making it seem quite practical.

Compatible devices include iPhone and Android.
