Honda Unveils New Accord for North America

Honda has unveiled the new Accord, scheduled for release in North America in fall 2017.

The 10th-generation Accord for North America has been developed with a focus on creating a new-generation mid-size sedan, featuring significant revisions to its design, packaging, and driving performance, and equipped with the latest connectivity and driver-assist technologies.

The exterior achieves a sporty yet premium presence through its wide and low proportions, a shortened front overhang, and a lowered hood.

The interior offers a spacious cabin that surpasses the mid-size class, with the largest rear legroom in its class and an expansive forward view that avoids any sense of confinement.

For powertrains, Honda is offering two types of inline 4-cylinder DOHC direct-injection turbo engines – a 1.5L and a 2.0L – along with the third-generation hybrid system, SPORT HYBRID i-MMD.

The 2.0L direct-injection turbo engine is paired with a newly developed 10-speed automatic transmission, creating a next-generation powertrain that delivers high quietness, fuel efficiency, and torque exceeding that of the V6 3.5L engine.

Furthermore, the Honda SENSING suite of driver-assist technologies is standard on all grades.

This latest machine protects the driver with advanced preventative safety features.
