Compete for closest-to-the-pin with renowned pros. The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa begins accepting reservations for a special golf plan.

THE RITZ-CARLTON OKINAWA

People play golf for all sorts of reasons. Some are driven by their scores, others see it as an extension of business. But sometimes, what we truly desire is simply to play a good round on a fine course, enjoy delicious food, and sleep soundly. A new retreat has arrived to fulfill these simple cravings with genuine care.

The Prestigious Retreat - The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa Cup 2026, to be held in January 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa, nestled in the Yanbaru forests of northern Okinawa Island.

A Rare Chance to Walk the Same Fairways as Top Professionals

The highlight of this retreat is the "The Ritz-Carlton Cup" held on January 28th. The venue is the prestigious Kise Country Club, which once hosted intense battles of the Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship.

Joining the event will be Yui Kawamoto, who has a sponsorship agreement with The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa, along with Mika Miyazato and Reika Usui. It was also announced that Riki Kawamoto will be participating as a special guest.

These are the players you see on television, now reading the wind and the greens on the same turf. Witnessing them up close is a rare privilege, but this retreat offers an even deeper experience.

You can receive direct advice on your swing on the practice green, and there's even a plan for a closest-to-the-pin challenge on a short hole. Imagine: how do world-class professionals approach the green? Where do they stand, what do they look at, how do they choose their clubs? How many other opportunities are there to experience this in the same space, at the same time?

While technical tips are certainly valuable, this experience might fundamentally change your approach to the sport of golf.

What's more, the cost is noteworthy. For three days and two nights, packed with the content described below, it's approximately 400,000 yen for two people. Considering the richness of this program, it's an exceptionally good value.

Porsche for Transfers, Cocktails by a Top Bartender at Night

Porsche vehicles (Macan, Cayenne, Taycan) will be available for transfers between the hotel and the golf course. Relaxing in the comfortable seats while gazing at Okinawa's scenery drift by the window, building focus for your round – this is another unique luxury of this retreat.

The first evening begins with a cocktail reception. Mr. Satoshi Sugiura, Bar Manager at Naha's "El Lequio," recognized in "Asia's 50 Best Bars," will be crafting the drinks. A cocktail enjoyed under the Okinawan night breeze will gently relax your senses, heightening anticipation for the round ahead.

The second night features a special collaboration dinner course with Keishi Kojima, chef at "Mauvaise herbe," known for his pursuit of Okinawan ingredients to their fullest. His cuisine, featuring wild plants and herbs he gathers himself from the fields and mountains, offers a dish unique to the land and the day.

Guest Rooms Embraced by the Spirit of "Geion"

The guest rooms were recently renovated, completing in late 2024. Inspired by the red roof tiles of Shuri Castle and Okinawa's spirit of hospitality, "Geion" (meaning welcoming guests), the spaces offer views of the emerald green sea, the Yanbaru forests, and the golf course beyond the windows.

Even in January, daytime temperatures reach 20 degrees Celsius. The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa, a luxury resort with one Michelin key, is surrounded on three sides by championship courses.

Play golf, savor exquisite cuisine, and sleep in the finest beds. These three days offer no compromises on any of these simple yet essential pleasures.

Let's Meet in Okinawa This January 2026

The main building's lobby features high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and soft lighting reminiscent of Japanese paper. It's a space where Okinawan traditional architecture blends with modern luxury.

Good golf, good food, a good stay – there are other options for these alone. However, the chance to stand on the same fairways as top professionals and share their perspective is exceptionally rare.

Why not welcome the start of 2026 with three special days?
