Enhance Your Hot Spring Experience with a Gift of an Original Tenugui and Yukata Rental

Otsuka, a district with a nostalgic streetscape where the JR Yamanote Line and Toden Arakawa Line intersect, is home to the city tourism hotel "Hoshino Resorts OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka." This hotel, known for its unique color schemes and innovative spatial design, is offering a limited-time plan until Friday, December 25, 2020, that allows guests to experience a feeling akin to a hot spring getaway.
Public baths, or sento, are a cherished part of Japanese culture and an ideal place to unwind. Otsuka boasts "Otsuka Kinen-yu," a long-established public bathhouse founded during the Taisho era. This plan centers around the sento experience, treating the entire Otsuka district as a hot spring town. A handy map highlights spots perfect for relaxing after a bath, as well as dining establishments ranging from casual izakayas to places where one can savor kaiseki or kappo cuisine.
To enhance the hot spring getaway experience, guests receive a complimentary original tenugui (hand towel). A charming basket for carrying bath essentials can be borrowed, and yukatas are available for rent (for an additional fee). At the public bath, towel rental is included, and guests can enjoy a coffee milk or a mini beer after their bath at no extra charge.
After refreshing yourself at the public bath, take a leisurely stroll through the charming, retro streets of this old Tokyo neighborhood, much like wandering through a traditional hot spring town. The specially curated map guides you to spots for relaxing after your bath, as well as a variety of dining options—from casual standing bars to establishments offering exquisite kaiseki or kappo cuisine. This allows you to tailor your dining and exploration to your mood, fully enjoying a short trip within the city.
