Special Campaign "Kyoto in Bloom" Launched

The "Kyoto in Bloom" campaign, designed to enhance your Kyoto travel experience, will run from Saturday, February 18th, to Friday, June 30th, 2023. Kyoto in spring is not just about cherry blossoms; various flowers like plum blossoms and camellias adorn the city over a long period. This campaign offers unique ways to experience the ancient capital, Kyoto, which has been associated with flowers for over 1200 years. Highlights include original Goshuin (temple stamps) featuring paper-cut art of temples and shrines adorned with beautiful flowers, and special spring viewings with limited capacity, allowing for a relaxed appreciation of the flowers in temples and shrines during early morning or evening hours when they are usually closed to the public. Additionally, new initiatives will be rolled out sequentially. Here, we introduce some of the promotional activities.
