A Space of Traditional Japanese Hospitality with an Attached Kaiseki and Restaurant
"THE HIRAMATSU KYOTO" is a hotel that opened in March 2020 in the heart of the ancient capital, Kyoto, along Muromachi-dori Street. It inherits a 120-year-old Kyoto townhouse that remains on Muromachi-dori, and was supervised by Nakamura Gaiji Kōmuten of Kyoto, known nationwide as a workshop for Japan's leading sukiya-style architecture. As an urban luxury hotel that combines Japanese elegance with modern comfort, it features 29 spacious guest rooms, as well as an attached kaiseki restaurant and an Italian restaurant.
"THE HIRAMATSU KYOTO" has received high praise in its first appearance in the "Michelin Guide Kyoto, Osaka + Okayama 2021." The Michelin Guide is a globally renowned gastronomic guide that rates excellent hotels and restaurants with stars. In the hotel category, the level of comfort of accommodation facilities is indicated by pavilion marks, with a scale of 1 to 5 showing the degree of comfort and service level.
Furthermore, hotels whose exterior and interior design, layout, hospitality, and service are particularly attractive are indicated by red symbols. "THE HIRAMATSU KYOTO" has been awarded 4 Red Pavilions in the "Michelin Guide Kyoto, Osaka + Okayama 2021," the highest rating closest to the maximum 5 Pavilions.

Keiji Okamoto, General Manager of "THE HIRAMATSU KYOTO," commented, "We are extremely pleased and surprised to receive the 4 Red Pavilions rating from the Michelin Guide. Although the past six months since our opening during the pandemic have been challenging, we have received many reservations, boosted by the Go To Travel campaign during the autumn tourist season. We will continue to strive to provide our unique hospitality and delight each and every guest with sincerity, without becoming complacent about this recognition."
All guest rooms are twin rooms with jet baths, offering a truly relaxing space that combines the comfort of modern living with high-quality natural materials. Additionally, the attached kaiseki restaurant and the ristorante within the hotel are open for dinner only from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (last order).

At "Kappo Izumi," in a small space with only 12 seats that seems to embody the aesthetic of a Kyoto townhouse, guests can savor exquisite Kyoto cuisine that delights both the palate and the eyes, while gazing out at a tranquil garden that belies its downtown location.

At the Italian restaurant "Ristorante La Luce," the head chef, who honed his skills at various Hiramatsu establishments, offers vibrant Italian cuisine inspired by the space and Kyoto's local ingredients. Guests can enjoy a special time of relaxation while gazing at the beautiful garden from the open interior.
Comfort and the finest hospitality. This is a space where one can feel at ease, and it is certainly worth a visit.
