In this climate, we want to propose a new way to travel. For those who want to travel abroad but need to avoid taking extended time off or dealing with jet lag, or for those who prefer domestic travel but want to minimize travel time, or even for those who don't need a full trip but simply wish to spend time in a different, relaxing environment, there's a recommended hotel: Pullman Tokyo Tamachi.

Pullman is a premium brand by Accor, one of the world's largest hospitality groups based in France. While not yet widely known in Japan, Accor operates over 5,300 hotels and residences and more than 10,000 restaurants and bars in 110 countries. It is highly popular overseas, particularly in Europe, and Pullman is an aspirational brand within it. The sole Pullman in Japan is Pullman Tokyo Tamachi.
Directly connected to Tamachi Station, it offers convenient access to Haneda Airport, Shinagawa Station, and Tokyo Station, naturally attracting many international tourists and executive business travelers. However, many city dwellers are captivated by its "space brimming with adult playfulness," a concept that perfectly matches the hotel's ambiance. It has become a hidden playground for sophisticated adults.
First, the space itself. The design blends modern and stylish aesthetics with playful Japanese elements, incorporating colors inspired by Kabuki costumes and motifs. Art is displayed throughout the hotel, and creative inspiration abounds, sometimes through collaborative events with artists.
A distinctive feature is the lobby, called "JUNCTION." Pullman names its lobby JUNCTION, signifying a place where people from all over the world converge. The reception and bar are adjacent, with an open space offering food and drinks ordered via QR code, equipped with power outlets, and even meeting rooms and a table tennis table available for use. The bar is open until 11:00 PM from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 10:00 PM from Thursday to Saturday. The open space is accessible to the public from 11:30 AM. It's brimming with playfulness, catering to various needs from casual meetings or cafe visits at the bar to solo work or team brainstorming sessions. This space, designed for adults who understand the balance between work and leisure, is the heart of Pullman Tokyo Tamachi and has the potential to be the center of the Tamachi/Shibaura area.
This summer, Pullman Tokyo Tamachi introduces an exceptionally luxurious plan: the All-Inclusive Plan. Limited to two groups per day, starting from ¥200,000 per night, this rare plan in Tokyo allows guests to indulge in unlimited access to all hotel services, including high tea, the bar, the restaurant, in-room dining, and exclusive summer afternoon tea and beer terrace experiences.
The accommodation is, of course, a suite, complete with champagne and caviar upon arrival. The caviar, sourced from Madagascar, a region gaining attention for its production, is served with handmade pancakes and sour cream. Its large, rich flavor pairs exquisitely with the champagne, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness.
Adding to the exclusive experience of the All-Inclusive Plan is a private cruise. Departing from a pier just a minute's walk from the hotel, this 45-minute private cruise offers a tour of the waterside district of Tamachi and Shibaura, extending to Odaiba. Enjoy a picnic basket filled with truffle egg sandwiches and beer as you take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the approximately 170-year-old fortresses (Daiba) preserved on the sea, and the Tokyo Tower. Gaze up at the Rainbow Bridge from directly below and savor the sea breeze. The sunset, viewed from the heart of Tokyo Bay, painting the sky in vivid oranges, is simply unparalleled.
The hotel's restaurant, "KASA," is overseen by Executive Chef Koji Fukuda, who honed his skills in New Zealand and subsequently led restaurants with an Oceania concept before returning to Japan. Reflecting his global travels, Chef Fukuda's cuisine incorporates essences from around the world, unbound by any single country. He is particularly renowned for his lamb dishes, being one of the few "Lambassadors" (New Zealand Lamb Promotional Ambassadors) in Japan, ensuring his expertise and palate are impeccable. The dinner course includes appetizers, fish, meat, and dessert. The mutton dish we sampled, known for its distinct flavor and firmer texture compared to lamb, was elevated by an oyster-infused sauce and precise cooking, maximizing the rich flavor and potential of the mature mutton. It's a dish that lamb enthusiasts will adore. Beyond the taste, each plate is presented with Pullman's signature creativity, making the dining experience a feast for the eyes as well.
While breakfast and lunch are primarily served at "KASA," the same quality of cuisine is available through room service and at the 9th-floor Executive Lounge, albeit with a different menu.
After dinner, you might want to enjoy a drink at the bar before retiring. For gin and high-quality whiskey, head to the bar in JUNCTION. For a wide selection of cocktails, visit the rooftop bar "PLATFORM9" on the 9th floor. The JUNCTION bar offers craft gins made from recycled ingredients like sake lees from breweries and beer suppliers. It's fascinating to experience the distinct flavors and aromas of gins, each unique depending on the sake lees used, much like appreciating different fragrances.
Meanwhile, the 9th-floor rooftop bar "PLATFORM9" features an adjacent open terrace. Its name is an homage to the ninth platform at Tamachi Station. This space hosts various events, including champagne terraces and collaborations with artists, truly serving as a vibrant hub where people from around the world gather, interact, and connect, much like a major train station.
While exciting international trips and healing journeys exploring domestic culture and nature are wonderful, there's an unparalleled luxury in refreshing yourself in a creative, inspiring space at the heart of the city. Why not indulge in this unique luxury, reserved for adults who have established their style? Forget your worries, enjoy Tokyo's finest views, savor exquisite food and drinks at your leisure, and simply relax. It's a chance to escape the mundane and embrace a sophisticated experience.
