Tesla Motors' "Model S" to Begin Operation from Saturday, November 1st

From Saturday, November 1st, The Peninsula Tokyo will offer its guests the opportunity to use a Peninsula-customized Tesla Motors "Model S" electric vehicle. This marks the first time a Japanese hotel has provided such a service for its guests, utilizing an originally customized electric car.

The Peninsula Tokyo currently provides airport transfers and other services for its guests using vehicles such asRolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase, and the BMW 740Li Peninsula Edition. Including the newly added Model S, all vehicles share the same license plate number, "28-88," which corresponds to the last four digits of the hotel's phone number.

The Model S features the hotel's corporate color, Peninsula Green, on its body. While it uses no gasoline, it boasts a range of over 500 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and includes a 17-inch touchscreen for intuitive control of air conditioning, audio, and other functions. It is a premium vehicle that offers the refined ride of a sedan combined with the agility of a sports car.

The service also excels in providing comfort during transit; guests can utilize it for airport transfers or for sightseeing on an hourly basis.
