An area for casual day-trip outdoor activities!
In the summer of 2020, "Nolla naguri," a facility for experiencing Nordic culture, will open in the Naguri area of Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. The name "Nolla naguri" comes from the Finnish word "nolla," meaning "zero" or "nothing," and the desire to share the Nordic lifestyle, which values moments of unhurried spaciousness, in Hanno.
"Nolla naguri" is comprised of four areas designed for refreshing mind and body amidst abundant nature.
The central "Central Park" lawn area offers day-use barbecues featuring abundant local ingredients. A stage, constructed using Nishikawa lumber from Hanno, is slated to host events such as music festivals and outdoor film screenings. On weekends, markets and farmers' markets selling Hanno and Naguri specialties will be held.
The "Sauna Club" area features a collection of Finnish-style tent saunas®. Visitors can rent tent saunas® for three-hour or full-day sessions, with options for private rentals of up to eight tents for groups. Experience löyly with a choice of aromatherapy oils and birch whisks (vihta), with plans for heat masters performing Aufguss and DJs providing music during events.
The "Cafe & Shop Yamasemi" will sell agricultural and forestry products, Nordic goods, and offer guidance services from a tourism concierge. Local processed agricultural and forestry products, Naguri's specialty Manju buns, and Nordic goods will be available.
And the "Glamping Field," opening in the spring of 2021, will offer accommodation without the hassle of setting up tents or preparing meals. The glamping area is planned to have ten tents in total, allowing guests to enjoy barbecues at night and leisurely savor the Naguri nature the following morning.
