An "Auberge Experience" Amidst Abundant Nature

This year, 2020, has seen a shift in travel needs due to the spread of COVID-19. With a desire to avoid crowds and maintain physical and mental well-being by connecting with beautiful nature, popular natural destinations are seeing increased demand.

Hirama tsu has a history of focusing on nature-rich resort areas, such as Hakone Sengokuhara and Okinawa Ginoza, and opening hotels there early on.

The new location chosen by Hiramatsu is Miyota Town in Nagano. "THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota," opening here, will be Hiramatsu Hotels' sixth accommodation facility.

Miyota Town is a noteworthy area experiencing an increase in residents, particularly among younger generations. It holds significant potential as a tourist destination, boasting untouched nature, a history of Jomon pottery culture, and abundant, fresh ingredients.

This hotel is situated at the foot of Mount Asama, surrounded by majestic nature. The expansive grounds, approximately 60,000 square meters, feature nine villas, a first for Hiramatsu, equipped with kitchens. Guests can enjoy their stay while immersing themselves in nature, with options for dining and breakfast on the terrace.

The main building has a total of 28 guest rooms. It features a dining room with panoramic views of the highlands and a lounge, offering numerous experiences unique to the plateau. A pleasing feature for all rooms, both in the villas and the main building, is the availability of hot spring water from the renowned Oshio Onsen, favored by hot spring enthusiasts.

Through its hotel and restaurant businesses, Hiramatsu has always valued the "marriage of land and cuisine." As a new development, "THE HIRAMATSU Karuizawa Miyota" aims to offer a new auberge experience, themed as a "Grand Auberge in the Forest," leveraging its rich natural environment.
