Stays and Activities Designed to Fully Embrace Nature's Charm
Amangiri is a resort located in Utah, near the border with Arizona, offering breathtaking views of deep canyons and crimson rock formations.
To commemorate its upcoming 10th anniversary, the glamping facility Camp Sarika will open.
Camp Sarika is named after the Sanskrit words for "open space" and "sky." The approximately 220,000-square-meter site offers panoramic views of the iconic mesa rock formations.
Surrounded by five national parks, each with its own unique character, including numerous monuments and the Navajo Nation Native American reservation, guests can experience nature in its purest form amidst landscapes rich with the traces of Native American culture.
Retaining the hospitality of Amangiri, the facility will feature a main pavilion, restaurant, two spa suites, and a main swimming pool and jacuzzi that are more integrated with nature than ever before.
The tent pavilions, serving as accommodations, offer unobstructed views of the mesas and spectacular sunset vistas. Each tent pavilion includes one or two bedrooms, a living area, dining area, bar, a large terrace with a fireplace, and a heated plunge pool, providing an unprecedentedly luxurious glamping experience.
The interior design, utilizing canvas walls and ceilings, wooden fixtures, and abundant black steel and stone, creates an atmosphere that contrasts with Amangiri's spaces, fostering a sense of unity with the desert.
The all-day dining at the main pavilion is an open space offering breathtaking views from both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, afternoon tea, and daily specials, featuring fresh local ingredients and catering to vegetarian and vegan guests.
The open kitchen is equipped with a rotisserie grill, serving flavorful dishes in vessels made of cedar and stone slabs. The restaurant is exclusively for camp guests during the day and is available to Amangiri guests by reservation in the evening.
A wide range of activities are available, making the most of this magnificent natural setting.
The two spa suites offer a sense of well-being derived from connecting with nature, alongside convenience and luxury. They feature an extensive menu inspired by traditional Navajo wellness practices.
The camp serves as a place of relaxation and a starting point for exploring the area. It offers diverse activities to ignite the spirit of adventure, including desert and mountain hiking on its own trail system, morning and afternoon wellness sessions indoors and outdoors, canyoning, and horseback riding on its unique "via ferrata" route.
Amangiri is accessible within a five-minute drive, featuring a vast 2,322-square-meter spa, finishing salon, and yoga pavilion gym. Additionally, there is a library, gallery, private dining room, and wine cellar. By utilizing both Camp Sarika and Amangiri, guests can fully experience comfort and an extraordinary escape.
Camp Sarika is scheduled to open in April 2020.
