Savor Sweets and Scones Featuring Sakura and Spring Ingredients

The gardens of Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo showcase approximately 120 cherry trees of 20 varieties, beginning with Kawazu-zakura and Kanhi-zakura in early February, followed by Sunshoku-zakura, Miyako-zakura, and Somei Yoshino from early March to April. The entire Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo area is a premier cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo, offering "morning sakura" illuminated by the early sun, enchanting "night sakura" under the lights, and cherry trees lining the Kanda River.


Additionally, the hotel's restaurant "Le Jardin" and lobby offer "indoor cherry blossom viewing," where guests can admire arrangements of blooming cherry branches indoors. This new style of flower viewing, unaffected by weather or pollen, has become popular for experiencing the arrival of spring.

A Japanese-modern afternoon tea, "Sakura Afternoon Tea," featuring sakura and spring ingredients, has now been launched.

The top tier of the tea stand features four types of sweets, including a three-colored sweet potato yokan resembling dango, and panna cotta topped with sakura-an cream, adding a vibrant touch to the table.


The middle tier offers three types of scones: plain scones, popular as gifts; sakura scones infused with sakura essence; and mugwort scones. These can be enjoyed with clotted cream mixed with azuki beans.

The bottom tier features savory items, including saury escabeche in a tart, and sandwiches filled with bamboo shoots and sakura shrimp, layered between bread made with spinach.

Furthermore, a "Sakura Photo Campaign" is being held concurrently, inviting submissions of photos and videos capturing the beautiful scenery of sakura viewing and spring scenes. Among those who post their qualifying photos and videos on Instagram with a dedicated hashtag, winners will be selected to receive prizes such as accommodation vouchers and dinner vouchers for Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo.
