Glamping is gaining popularity. Glamping, which offers comfortable facilities while keeping guests close to nature, is characterized by a unique stay that differs from hotels, ryokans, or traditional camping.

Tokyo Classic Camp, Japan's first membership-based glamping facility, opened in July 2018. Located about a 60-minute drive from the city center, it is adjacent to the golf course, "Tokyo Classic Club."

Nestled within a beautiful forest inhabited by wild birds and small animals, the site features colorful wooden cabins sourced from Sweden and Belgium, alongside glamping tents designed to blend into the natural surroundings. It's an elegant secret base in nature for adults.

The wooden cabins were built in collaboration with local carpenters by staff who love the outdoors. Each cabin has a unique design and layout, and can be chosen according to the number of guests.

The glamping tents are equipped with not only beds and dining tables, but also individual washbasins, clawfoot bathtubs imported from London, and toilets. All offer ample space and comfort, surprising for a tent.

At the camp base building, staff knowledgeable about the outdoors offer guidance on campfire techniques and how to tie a comfortable hammock. They also provide rentals and sales of firewood and camping gear, along with instructions on how to use them, ensuring a worry-free experience even for beginners.

And of course, dining is a highlight of any outdoor experience. Tokyo Classic Camp offers optional meal plans (dinner and breakfast), allowing guests to come empty-handed. Ingredients and cooking utensils for dinner and breakfast are provided in each cabin and tent.

Meals can be enjoyed on the wooden deck of the cabins or under the private tarp of the glamping tents, feeling close to nature. The accommodations also offer complimentary drinks such as coffee and tea, as well as alcoholic beverages like beer, whiskey, and wine (for a fee). Naturally, guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.

Dinner menus are available as an option, with three choices. In addition to BBQ and Dutch oven menus, there is also a medicinal hot pot menu to warm both body and soul.

For example, the BBQ menu is an original creation supervised by a Sri Lankan chef. The ingredients include high-quality meats and, fitting for an island nation, a rich variety of seafood. The ingredients are carefully seasoned with spices, and their delicious aroma is evident even as they cook. Many people associate spices only with heat, but spices also add depth to flavors and create appetizing aromas. This menu, which is not solely about spiciness, can be enjoyed by everyone.

For the breakfast menu, ingredients are delivered the day before. Guests can cook and enjoy their meal at their preferred time, perhaps after an early morning walk in the forest or a leisurely sleep, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee.

The site also features a cafe and bar. During the day, it serves salads and curries, while in the evening, it offers original cocktails and more, providing a relaxing space from morning till night.

Furthermore, a day camping site is also planned. With no need to prepare any food, guests can pack light, which is a great advantage. Of course, you can also bring your own food and equipment to enjoy your preferred meals. A variety of activities are available, including horseback riding, a pool, a kids' park, yoga, and golf (requires accompaniment by a golf member). These features are designed to excite everyone from adults to children.

For those seeking a luxurious experience in nature, "Tokyo Classic Camp" is a noteworthy option.
